Pretty sure I don’t fall into any definition of the term ‘yankee’.
Well in the Southern US, a yankee is anyone who is a Northener, I think that includes Canada too but I could be wrong. I know outside the US yankee generally refers to any US citizen. Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
